John Duddleston
Founder & Board Member
John was diagnosed with severe Hemophilia A at 9 months of age and has tried not to let that slow him down since. John was a very active child and teenager which lead to his discovery of endurance sports. Completing his first sprint triathlon in 2015, he never looked back and continued to build that into longer distance endurance events such as Spartans, Marathons, half-Ironmans and in 2021 he completed his first full Ironman. John is also a 46er, which involves climbing the 46 highest mountains in the Adirondacks. John is passionate about health and fitness but more so about his friends, family and helping others. As founder of Factor Endurance Network, he is hoping to help bring access to more quality care and increased quality of life to others effected by a bleeding disorder.

Catherine McCoy
Member Since 2019
My name is Catherine McCoy and I am a member of Factor Endurance Network. One of my favorite racing events is triathlon! I have loved and participated in swimming throughout my life and it led me to join my University's Triathlon club my freshman year of college. It was there I discovered my passion for racing as well as meeting, then marrying, my husband Dylan! While I enjoy all three legs of the triathlon my favorite is still swimming even though I spend most of my time biking these days. I used to exclusively race sprint triathlons, until recently, where I've transitioned to longer off-road triathlons and mountain bike racing.
Kimberly Philo
Member Since 2022
Kim was diagnosed with moderate hemophilia A when she was 12 years old, after a major bleed in her knee. It was suggested that she stop participating in contact sports to reduce bleeds. This is when she started golfing. However, in July 2011, after a great deal of training, Kim participated in her first major endurance event. RAGBRAI: The Des Moines Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa. That year was 454+ miles and 21,200+ feet of climb over 7 days. She has completed 4 RAGBRAI’s to date. Kim has also expanded into running events, other biking events, and triathlons. In 2015, Kim ran her first and only marathon so far. She has currently completed 26 half marathons, and 2 triathlons. Kim loves to include her son, Alex, whenever possible. Kim wants to show others that hemophilia does not stop her but instead she uses it as a motivator, knowing that taking care of our bodies and making them stronger, results in fewer bleeding episodes. Kim is excited to be a part of the Factor Endurance Network Team!
Alex Philo
Member Since 2022
Alex was diagnosed with severe hemophilia A at birth, along with several other medical needs. He loves to participate in outdoor activities with his parents, so they have done what ever possible to keep him included. Alex now has a racing chair built by the amazing Team Hoyt Running Chair crew. This chair can be pushed by a runner or pulled by a cyclist. He has road tires and fat tires for more rugged terrain. Alex has participated in many 5K’s, a few 10 milers, and many biking events, including the 3-day Gears For Good National Bike ride with HFA. He is ready to start racing with his mom on the Factor Endurance Network Team!
